Trauma & EMDR Therapy
Therapy that helps you move beyond survive mode, toward safety, connection, and ease.
Trauma isn’t just what happened. It’s how your nervous system learned to protect you. You may notice patterns of hypervigilance, emotional shutdown, or feeling stuck in the same cycles, even when you intellectually “know better.” Trauma-informed therapy supports you in moving through these patterns at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

What Trauma Can Look Like
You might relate to one or more of these:
-
Feeling stuck in old patterns despite your best efforts
-
Hyper-alertness or emotional shutdown in safe moments
-
Difficulty trusting or connecting with others
-
Anxiety that feels unpredictable or overwhelming
-
A sense of “too much” or “not enough” that doesn’t go away
Our Relational, Trauma-Informed Approach
Here’s how we work together:
-
Safety and connection are the foundation of healing
-
We pace therapy according to how your nervous system responds
-
Your experiences, body, and emotions are all part of the work
-
You are in control of the process, no pressure or forced disclosure
EMDR Therapy
What It Is & How It Helps

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy approach that helps your brain re-store distressing experiences, so they no longer feel overwhelming. Rather than reliving every detail, EMDR works with brief memory processing and gentle bilateral stimulation to help the brain naturally calm and integrate difficult experiences.

Benefits clients often notice:
-
Reduced emotional intensity tied to past experiences
-
Less reactivity in daily life
-
Greater emotional regulation and inner safety
-
More clarity about patterns that used to feel “stuck”

Is This Right For You?
This approach may be a good fit if:
-
Talk therapy alone hasn’t felt sufficient
-
You want relief from distressing memories or patterns
-
You feel stuck despite insight or effort
-
You’re ready for a collaborative, paced approach
